A busy weekend

We had more friends for dinner on Saturday night. Megan was thrilled with Katie's hair and combed it to perfection. Over and over and over!

As usual, she loved them all!

Katie, Jen, Wara
Ken & Maria

Wara and Maria were both adopted from Africa at the age of 7; Wara 6 years ago and Maria 8 years ago.

Megan loves to work with her hands. This Lego set has a screwdriver and several of the pieces can be tightened down. She works for a really long time at this!

This adorable baby bunny visited us in our front yard. It was eating the flowers and enjoying them!

One of our Monarch's hatched yesterday. The other will probably hatch tomorrow.

Mary Alice finally allowed her picture to be taken. Megan actually took this. She is quite the photographer!

Hi -- Megan Ling's proud Grandma was telling me about her at church today and then my neighbor Jane mentioned your blog -- which I just read all the way through -- fabulous!!!
We have just returned 3 weeks ago from living in China for a year with our kids, including our 7 year old adopted from China as a baby. Your story is a very moving one..so pleased that you are sharing it. My 2 girls, 7 and almost 3 speak some Chinese ,as do I (not fluently, but functionally) so if you would ever like a little Mandarin play time, we could give it a try! or just compare notes...anyway all the best. You can contact me if you want, annbf218@gmail.com

Hi, Linda,

Glad to see Anne's post! She found your blog, which is great. She had heard about Megan Ling from her grandmother, who is apparently our neighbor here on Crescent Ave. I'm looking forward to meeting her someday.

Hope you guys can make the AC Olympic Ceremony Potluck and Sleep Over Celebration on Friday. It should be a blast! If not, maybe we'll see you sometime when you visit Parkside.

Megan Ling always looks so happy, just glowing, in your photos, it is a true pleasure to read your blog.

Best,
Jane

I agree, she always looks happy! Glad she is enjoying those fine motor tasks (and I love the Blogger screen in the background *haha*)
